I’m looking for children of all ages who LOVE reading, or being read to, and who adore their books. I want to celebrate that on my blog, and the best way I know how is to photograph them, in the place where they usually read, enjoying the books that they love. It really is a very simple idea, but already it seems to have resonated with a lot of people. Perhaps because it reminds people immediately of what they read when they were younger, or just that they still love reading today. I do think there is something pretty magical about watching a child get lost in a book – and to be able to capture those moments in photographs is the main aim of this project.
There is no fee to take part in the project. You may, if you wish, purchase prints or products of the images I create, but there is no obligation to do so.
I am based in Surrey, so I’ll be happy to visit you at home if you live in my area. I’m very happy to travel further afield for a small travel fee, or you can visit me in Surrey. There are plenty of beautiful places that are perfect for reading outside.
