With a trio of sisters let loose in the woods, I found myself photographing a whole heap of character together with a bucket load of mischief. And that’s just how I like it.
You can try and keep up with them, but in the end, sometimes you just have to mastermind games where they run towards you, rather than away.
Or, you are in cahoots with Mum. And she has very cleverly brought along bribes. Which worked a treat.
We were so lucky with the weather and the beautiful setting sun, but only the strongest survive. By the end of the session we were down to 2 of the original 3. Not lost, or left behind, but tucked up peacefully in the pushchair.
Your kids are a complete spectrum of character. So why stop at the obvious smile? I want to do more than just capture cute. Because there is beauty in a sombre expression. There is soul in the faces I see.
