This April I’ve launched a brand new portrait session, inspired by the breastfeeding portraits I photographed for the MILK series. Wouldn’t you love to see what that looks like? Of course you would. Here’s the first full MILK portrait session of 2014.
Throughout the initial project, I loved photographing those mums bonding with their babies, witnessing how delighted they were by the deep connection they felt. In listening to their stories and learning about how life had changed for them, I knew I was capturing something really special for them – these were moments from motherhood to be treasured.
So whilst the aim then was to get that one single image for the project, I couldn’t help but shoot a little more and tell a longer story about their experience breastfeeding.
And now I want to share more from those stories, to let you in behind the scenes of the project and to give you an idea of what you can expect from a MILK portrait session with me now. Think of them of second helpings. A happy top up.
Here’s Deborah and her beautiful Sylvie. We took a walk in the woods, found a wonderful puddle of light and stepped right in. Having mastered the sling, Deborah had made breastfeeding portable and possible anywhere. What an experience for them to remember!
If you want to create something tangible, photographs to hang on your wall, books to hold in your hands, let’s spend an hour together for a MILK portrait session. Time with just you and your baby, capturing something wonderful, an experience you adore and want to remember.
