Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Griffin house, people were wrapping presents in haste with whatever paper they could find. Newspaper in some cases.
To give you a little taste of festive fairytale and pantomime, I wanted to share some images I took for the brilliant people behind Story UnLtd, who hope to return Guildford’s own royal family to their rightful place. It’s an exciting project to be a part of, especially in my role as official Royal Photographer.
Because the Royals are quite a secretive clan, we decided to capture some local characters instead. Actually, we had no choice. They refused all requests to appear. Something about arranging costume balls and excessive charity responsibilities.
So instead meet Cinderella, a local skivvy, who cooks, cleans and dances with small woodland creatures to pass the time. She doesn’t have the friendliest home life, so we got her out and about in the fresh air before bundling her into a large tumble dryer. We were careful and she was very keen.
Keep your eyes peeled for news of the Guildford Royal Family returning to reign and you could become a part of a unique theatrical experience in Surrey.
