My little blog is very new and already I’m loving it. I get to show off my wonderful client sessions and introduce you to the idea of working out on location. You can see how picking a beautiful, natural backdrop can really add something unqiue to your portraits or how the comfort of your own home can make even the most camera-shy youngster open up and connect with me.

This is all great news, because what good are images if they are not seen? Every time I deliver a print order I love to see how excited people are to actually have the image in their hands. So here’s a note to self (and others – you know who you are): must get more of my own photographs off the hard drive and on to the wall. Or in an album. Or even on canvas.

Having had this epiphany, I thought how lovely it would be to welcome my baby blog into the world with a fantastic opening offer. So, here it is. Ready?

Every session booked before the end of May 2010 will receive a FREE custom-made 12×8 canvas wrap worth £75. These gorgeous chunky wraps are printed on heavyweight cotton canvas, hand-stretched on solid wood frames and supplied ready to hang. I want to encourage you to get your beautiful images on your walls, where you can see and love them every day. What better way to do that then give you a beautiful canvas wrap for free?

All you need to do to receive this offer is book and schedule your session (mini or full) before May 31st 2010. You can also choose to upgrade your canvas to a larger, statement size if you wish. Details of upgrade available on request.

Please note: this offer is not valid with any other offer or promotion.

Want one? Then just drop me a line and let’s get you booked in!

A photo blog without a photo? Never.

This is one of my favourite little models doing what she does best – being squeezably cute. But she can walk now, so it’s going to get harder to keep up with her.

I have a very lovely friend and she is getting married. Good news, right? Well great news actually, because Helen’s husband-to-be is a wonderful chap who makes her very happy indeed. Happiness is always great news. Plus he has a romantic streak in him that bodes very well for the future. No restaurant-based, on bended-knee proposal for Ash. No. Ash got his thinking cap on and decided to take Helen back to where they first met and pop the question there. So on a glorious day, with Lindisfarne just across the bay, Ash sat Helen down on a bench, opened up the box and asked her to be his wife.

Obviously, she said yes.

So, what better location to take their engagement pictures than, what I will now refer to as, Holy “Proposal” Island. Here are Helen and Ash, dealing with bright sunshine, a sandstorm of sorts and the curious gaze of many a rambler.

Congratulations you two – I know that you’ll have an incredible wedding day!

Phew. Finally, the blog is all done and ready to go. There is every chance that it may go through several facelifts as I continue to tinker with the look of it. But whatever happens to the surface, the substance will remain the same – the blog is the home for my latest news, great offers and lots of lovely images from recent sessions.

Speaking of which…

Back in March I had the pleasure of meeting up with a very old friend for a special Mother’s Day session in Guildford. It was very early, very cold but we managed to capture some beautiful light. As well as meeting her gorgeous son and wonderful husband, I was also well fed with jumbo juicy raisins. I point out the jumbo juiciness of the raisins to highlight the generosity of her son, who gleefully fed me them. I had to catch them, but they were thrown with love. Sometimes the things that get the kids to smile benefit me greatly. Delicious.

A huge thank you to Jody, Paul and little B for spending some time with me. I’m finding out that one of the great things about this photography lark is that it gives me the opportunity to meet the new offspring of very old friends.

Much more to come as my own little blog grows up. To celebrate, I’ve got an amazing offer waiting in the wings for all my facebook fans and blog readers. Come back this weekend to find out more!
